The store is introducing Calvin Klein Collection to its assemblage of designer lines this season, Rachel Kern said.

Designer Francisco Costa's signature is clean minimalism, "but this spring, he's translated that simplicity into something very feminine and organic," she said. The collection features ethereal silks, raw-edged natural textures, pretty pastels and cloud-like asymmetrical shapes.

We'll also see plenty of the clean lines, bright whites and architectural structure that Costa does so well, Kern said.

Prom fashion show
Dillard's Woodland Hills will host its annual prom fashion show 2 p.m. Saturday.

The department store's third-floor junior area will hold the show, featuring the latest prom fashions, said Kodi Drew, the store's junior area sales manager.

Also, shoppers can register to win prizes for their prom night.

Limited edition handbags
Mary Ruby Apparel in Kings-Pointe Village, 61st Street and Yale Avenue, is hosting a trunk show of local purse designer Ellen Medlock's bags now through May 1.

The show consists of her first six limited-edition creations, said Medlock, who never remakes a design twice.

"I am basically a fabric addict," joked Medlock. Made with vibrant, perky fabrics, her bags feature cellphone and zippered pockets, and a slip. Each one has its own name, too, like the "Cha Cha Garden" bag, as well as "Spring Break," "Retro Geometry, "Sunny Day," "Cocoa Kaleidoscope" and "Classic Karma." Princes range from $49-$79.
